Force

Force – A push or a pull on one object by another object.

Contact Force – A force resulting from physical contact between two objects

Field Force – A force that is not mediated through physical contact

FUNDAMENTAL FORCES
1. Strong Nuclear Force
2. Electromagnetic Force
3. Weak Nuclear Force
4. Gravity
NEWTON’S LAWS OF MOTION
1st Law If ∑F = 0, then v = constant
Law of Intertia
An object’s velocity remains constant unless a net force is acting upon it.
2nd Law ∑F = ma
SI Unit for mass: kg
SI Unit for Force: N = kg•m/s2
3rd Law F1→2 = -F2→1
For every force exerted by one object on a second object, there is an equal but opposite (equal in magnitude but opposite in direction) force by the second object on the first.
